# Third-party apps that may require compatibility testing

Easify Product Options is designed to work smoothly with Shopify stores and a wide range of themes and apps. However, some third-party apps modify the way products, prices, carts, or checkout work on your store.\
When multiple apps make changes to the same part of Shopify's storefront or cart at the same time, they may interfere with each other. As a result, certain Easify features may not work as expected in some setups.

\
For this reason, we strongly recommend testing your complete purchase flow before going live if your store uses any app that modifies the product, cart, pricing, or checkout experience.
### Types of apps that may affect Easify

Compatibility issues are more likely to occur with apps in the following categories:

**1. Checkout apps and alternative checkout solutions**\
Especially apps that modify Shopify's standard cart or checkout behavior.

**2. Cart drawer and upsell apps**\
Apps that replace or heavily customize the theme's standard cart/cart drawer, including upsell or cross-sell functionality.

**3. Bundle apps**\
Bundle apps may change product lines, pricing, quantities, or the structure of items added to the cart.

**4. Subscription apps**\
Subscription apps can modify selling plans, product forms, cart items, and pricing behavior.

**5. Preorder apps**\
These apps may change Add to Cart behavior, product availability, inventory handling, or cart properties.

**6. Wholesale / B2B pricing apps**\
Apps that apply custom pricing, tiered pricing, customer-specific prices, or quantity rules may interact with Easify's option and add-on pricing.

**7. Request a Quote apps**\
Quote apps may bypass or replace the normal Add to Cart and checkout flow.

**8. Other apps that modify cart or product pricing**\
Any app that changes product prices, cart lines, discounts, product forms, or the way products are added to the cart may potentially affect Easify.

**Important:** Using an app from one of these categories does not necessarily mean that it is incompatible with Easify. Compatibility depends on how each app works and how your store is configured.

### What should I test?

If you're using one of these apps together with Easify, we recommend placing several test orders before launching or after making major changes to your apps or store setup.\
Please check the entire customer journey:

1. Select Easify options on the product page.
2. Confirm that all selected options and add-on prices are displayed correctly.
3. Add the product to the cart.
4. Check that the selected options, quantities, and prices remain correct in the cart or cart drawer.
5. Proceed through your usual checkout method.
6. Complete a test order.
7. Check the order in Shopify Admin and confirm that all selected options and additional charges have been recorded and charged correctly.

Don't rely only on what is displayed on the product page. An option may appear correctly there while another app changes the cart or checkout behavior later in the purchase flow.
### When should I test again?

We recommend repeating the test whenever you:

* Install or replace a cart, checkout, bundle, subscription, pre-order, wholesale, or pricing app.
* Change your cart or checkout configuration.
* Change how Easify add-on pricing is configured.
* Make significant theme customizations.
* Update the configuration of another app involved in your purchase flow.

### What if I find a compatibility issue?

If Easify options, add-on prices, or cart information do not behave as expected, please contact the Easify Support team before going live.\
When contacting us, it is helpful to provide:

* Your store URL
* The affected product URL
* The name of the third-party app you're using
* A screenshot or video showing the issue
* The steps needed to reproduce it

Our team will investigate the setup and determine whether there is an available configuration, workaround, or technical solution.\
Please note that because third-party apps are developed and maintained independently, we cannot guarantee full compatibility with every app or every custom implementation. In some cases, we may also recommend contacting the other app's support team so both sides can investigate the interaction.

\
Before going live, if your store relies on a customized cart or checkout flow, we strongly recommend completing at least one end-to-end test order before accepting customer orders.\
This is particularly important when your Easify options include additional charges or paid add-ons, as the final amount should always be verified through the cart, checkout, and completed Shopify order.
