When they do, the details that make your products special: the sizes, finishes, engraving styles, and add-ons you've built into your option sets — need to be readable. If your options are still labeled "Option 1" and "Option 2", neither an AI assistant nor a search engine can tell what you're actually selling. The AI Readiness Score checks your option set and tells you exactly what to fix. No technical knowledge needed. Just open the panel, work through the list, and watch your score climb. ## Why Your AI Readiness Score Matters ✅ **Get Found in AI Search:** When AI assistants can read your options, your products can show up in the answers shoppers are already asking for. 🛒 **Clearer Options, Fewer Abandoned Carts:** The same clear labels and descriptions that help AI understand your options also help your customers. Meaningful names and helpful hints reduce hesitation on the product page. 🎨 **Know Exactly What to Fix:** Instead of vague advice, you get a specific list. Every item comes with a button that takes you straight to the field that needs attention.

## How It Works Open the panel and Easify checks your option set against a set of AI-readiness criteria, then gives you a score out of 10 along with an *overall status*:

Status	What it means
Needs work	Key details are missing. AI and search engines will struggle to understand this option set.
Almost there	You're close. A few improvements left.
AI-ready ⭐	Your option set is in great shape.

Below the score, everything is grouped so you know what to tackle first: * **Problems** — must-fix items holding your score back. * **Improvements** — nice-to-haves that will push your score higher. * **Completion** — everything you've already got right, plus the parts Easify handles for you automatically. Your score reflects how many of these checks your option set passes. Fix the items listed and your score goes up. Checks that don't apply to your option set aren't counted against you — so if you're not using images, for example, you're never penalized for missing image descriptions. The panel updates as you work, so you can see your score improve in real time as you make changes. {% stepper %} {% step %} ### Step 1: Open the AI Readiness Score Panel Open the Option Set you want to check, then click **AI Score** in the top bar — it sits next to **View live**.

{% endstep %} {% step %} ### Step 2: Add an Option Summary This is the single biggest win, and it's the one thing that has *no equivalent anywhere else in your option set.*

An **option summary** is a short, plain-language description of what your option set offers. It's written purely for AI and search engines. **Your customers never see it on your storefront**. In the panel, find **Option summary for AI** and either: * Click **Auto-generate** to have Easify write the summary based on your options, then edit it to taste, or * Write your own from scratch in the text field. {% hint style="info" %} 📝 **Note:** * Summaries are limited to 500 characters. So aim for a few clear sentences. * One summary should cover the whole option set, not each individual option. * Auto-generate is a starting point. A quick edit in your own words, mentioning your materials, use cases, or turnaround, usually reads better than the generated version alone. {% endhint %} {% endstep %} {% step %} ### Step 3: Work Through the List Every unfinished item in the panel comes with a button: **Edit labels**, **Add help text**, **Edit value labels**, and so on. Click it, and Easify takes you straight to the field that needs attention and highlights it. If several fields need the same fix, click the button again and you'll jump to the next one, and the next, until they're all done. If a field lives on a different tab, Easify switches tabs for you. Once every field in a check is sorted, that item moves down to **Completion** and its button disappears.

Item	What it's asking for
Product schema	AI can't read your product data accurately without a product schema. Easify can help you adding a schema with correct product option detaills.
Option set name	Rename the set from its default to something meaningful, like "Your Drink Set".
Option labels	Replace default labels with real, meaningful names — "Flavors" instead of "Dropdown".
Option value labels	Same for the choices inside an option — "Walnut", "Oak", "Matte Black".
Help text	Add a short hint, placeholder, or info note so the purpose of the field is obvious for AI to crawl.
Alt text	Describe your option images (see Step 4).
Option summary	Covered in Step 2.

🎨 **Note:** Options nested inside an option group are checked too — don't forget to expand them. {% endstep %} {% step %} ### Step 4 (Optional): Bulk Edit Alt Text If your option set uses image or color swatches, every image needs alt text (a short description of what the image shows). AI and search engines can't interpret a picture on their own. Rather than writing them one by one, click **Bulk edit alt text** in the score panel. Enter your alt text rule, click **Continue**, then confirm.

{% hint style="info" %} 📝 **Note — please read before you run this:** * **This replaces all existing alt text** for images in the current option set, including images that already have alt text you wrote by hand. **It cannot be undone.** * Only images in the option set you currently have open are affected. Images elsewhere in your store are left alone. {% endhint %} {% endstep %} {% step %} ### Step 5 (Optional): Add Product Schema **Product schema** is the hidden description of your product that AI assistants and search engines read — the name, price, availability, and the customization options you've built. Without it, AI can't reliably read your product page, and the options you set up in Easify stay invisible to it. If your store already has product schema — from your theme or another SEO app — this item won't appear in your panel at all. If it doesn't, **Product schema** shows up under **Problems**. To fix it: 1. Click **Add schema**. 2. Review what will be added: your product name, price, and availability, plus your Easify customization options. 3. Click **Add schema**.

The item moves to **Completion** and your score goes up. You can turn it off anytime using the **Disable schema** button. {% hint style="info" %} **Don't add product schema twice.** Once Easify is handling it, avoid adding product schema again through your theme code or another SEO app. Duplicate schema can confuse AI bots and hurt how your page is read. {% endhint %} {% endstep %} {% endstepper %} ## What Easify Already Handles for You Some checks sit in **Completion** from the very start, because Easify takes care of them automatically: * **Structured data** — Easify adds the background information that helps AI understand what your options mean. * **Conditional logic** — if you use conditional options, AI still understands them, including that certain choices only appear depending on earlier selections. ## Good to Know * **The score is per option set.** Each option set is scored on its own, so check them individually. * **A 10 isn't required.** Anything in the green **AI-ready** range means your option set is in good shape. Chase the red **Problems** first; **Improvements** can wait. * **Empty checks don't count against you.** Checks that don't apply to your option set are left out entirely rather than scored as failures. * **Good labels help everyone.** Every fix the panel suggests makes your product page clearer for human shoppers too, not just for AI. ## Need Assistance?
